Last week Tata Tiago EV entered the market with the title of India's cheapest electric car. It is priced at Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom). It is the fourth electric model in the Tata portfolio after the Tata Nexox EV, Nexon EV Max and Tigor EV. It is also India's first hatchback battery powered vehicle. Meanwhile, Tigor EV was the cheapest electric car in the country till the launch of Tiago EV.

Tata Tiago EV vs Tata Tigor EV
The base model of the Tiago EV is priced at Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, the premium XZ+ Tech LUX is priced at Rs 11.79 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, the Tata Tigor EV is available in lower trim options starting from Rs 12.49 to Rs 13.64 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata Tiago EV vs Tata Tigor EV Specifications
The new Tata Tiago EV hatchback is available in two battery pack options. The all-electric hatchback is available in 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh battery pack options. Its range is between 250 and 315 km depending on the battery capacity. Its electric motor outputs 74 hp and 114 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0-60 km/h in 5.7 seconds. Again, the fast charger charges up to 80 percent in 57 minutes.
On the other hand, the Tata Tigor EV sedan is only available with a 26 kWh battery option. It is capable of running 306 km on a full charge. The Tigor EV's electric motor produces 74 hp of power and 170 Nm of torque. Like the Tiago EV, it can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in 5.7 seconds.
